Young People: Findings: Ethnicity, Religion and Language

Ethnic composition of the DASH Study participantsPupils from a wide range of ethnic groups were included in the study.

 

Over 25 different religions were represented. These included Buddhist, Jewish, Methodist, Greek Orthodox, Rastafarian, Hindu, Sikh, Catholic, Muslim and Anglican to name but a few!

 

 

 

 

 

There was also great diversity with respect to language - altogether, the DASH pupils spoke more than 50 different languages at home! About half of you spoke English to your parents, aunts and uncles most or all of the time.
