Introducing Jay Gajjar, chair of our new Participant Advisory Group
posted on 18 February, 2013
We are very pleased that Jay has agreed to act as chair of our Participant Advisory Group. Jay tells us why he decided to accept this role and support DASH.
"I'm pleased to have been appointed as Chair of the DASH Participant Advisory Group (PAG). I feel honoured to be supporting a study that is striving to better understand and improve the health and well-being of local communities in London. PAG will play an important role in shaping the future of the study and ensuring that communities benefit from it. I don't have a medical background but I grew up in London and as a 23 year old I'm familiar with the challenges facing people my age. I am pleased to be part of a group that can offer its wider knowledge and experiences of young people, helping the community in the long run."
Jay is currently a Masters of Laws student at UCL. He gained his first Masters in International Trade Law from the University of Sussex in 2012 and is currently Managing Director of London Law Tutor Ltd. Jay also represents employees at Employment Tribunals on a pro bono basis through the Free Representation Unit.
